Sending Money to an Inmate’s Commissary Account: Options, Timing, and Fees
Getting money into someone's commissary (Trust Fund) account shouldn't feel like guesswork. Here are the main ways to send funds, how long each takes, and the details—like the GTL Site ID and no-refund policy—that'll save you time and headaches.
At Camille Graham Corrections Center, the fastest options go through ConnectNetwork: their website, mobile app, toll-free phone line, or a kiosk. These automated methods process quickly, and you won't need a deposit slip form.
Sending a money order? You'll use GTL's process for South Carolina DOC with Site ID 121. Make the money order payable to "GTL Financial Services" - $300.00 max per money order, in US dollars. Include a completed deposit form, but keep it loose. Don't tape, staple, or paperclip the form to the money order.
Note: When you mail a money order deposit, send only the money order and the deposit form - no cash, stamps, letters, photos, or other extras. Also avoid attaching the form to the money order with tape, staples, or paper clips.
Need funds to arrive fast? Automated ConnectNetwork deposits - website, app, phone, or kiosk - typically reach the facility within one business day.
Mailed deposits take longer. Once GTL receives your Trust Fund deposit, they usually process it the next business day.
Fees catch a lot of families off guard. Trust Fund deposit fees vary by facility, so log into your ConnectNetwork account and check the costs before you submit a payment.
Important: All Trust Fund deposits are final - no refunds are issued. Double-check the facility selection, the inmate you’re depositing to, and the fee details before you hit submit or mail anything.
Practical Money Order Guidance
- ✓ Make the money order payable to “GTL Financial Services.”
- ✓ Keep it at $300.00 or less per money order.
- ✓ Make sure the money order is issued in US dollars.
- Fill out the deposit slip completely - include the required information and send the completed form with your money order.
- Keep the form separate - don’t tape, staple, or paperclip the deposit slip to the money order.
- Skip the slip for automated payments - if you deposit through the ConnectNetwork website, app, phone, or kiosk, the deposit slip form isn’t needed.
Reminder: Don’t include staples, paper clips, stamps, cash, letters, photos, or any other items with a mailed Trust Fund deposit - only the deposit form and the money order should go in the envelope.
