What Happens If You Bring a Cell Phone, Smartwatch, or Tobacco to Camille Graham

Since February 1, 2016, personal wireless devices have been banned from all South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDC) facilities. This includes cell phones, obviously - but also fitness trackers and smartwatches. If it can send or receive a wireless signal (Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, cellular), leave it behind.

SCDC went tobacco-free on January 1, 2008. Tobacco products are contraband on agency property. Don't bring cigarettes, vapes, or anything tobacco-related when you visit.

The consequences are serious. Anyone caught bringing contraband into SCDC will be arrested and banned from visiting. Even honest mistakes - a smartwatch you forgot to take off, tobacco left in a pocket - can end your visit on the spot and cost you future visits with your loved one.

Note: If visitors are caught with contraband, the institution could revert to non-contact visits, which affects everyone - not just the person who brought the item.
