What You Can and Can't Do During a Virtual Visit with an Inmate at Camille Graham

Virtual visits at Camille Graham are recorded and may be reviewed later. What's on camera matters just as much as what's said - your behavior, who appears in the frame, and your location all count.

Warning: If inappropriate actions happen during a virtual visit, the visit can be ended immediately and your visitation privileges may be suspended.

What You Can and Can't Do During a Virtual Visit with an Inmate at Camille Graham

Prohibited Behaviors Locations

  • Any display of nudity
  • Any behavior or actions that are sexual in nature
  • Using or displaying drugs, alcohol, or weapons during the visit
  • Any unauthorized individual (adult or minor) suddenly appearing during the virtual visit
  • Participating from prohibited locations, including bedrooms and bathrooms

These rules aren't suggestions. Because visits are recorded and reviewed, staff can end your call the moment something prohibited shows up - nudity, sexual behavior, drugs or alcohol, a weapon, an unauthorized person walking into frame, or a call from a bedroom or bathroom.

Children age 10 or older who are approved virtual visitors will need a photo ID. Have it ready so you're not scrambling when the call starts.

For approved children under age 10, the requirement is different: they need a certified long-form birth certificate. Gather that document ahead of time if a young child will be part of the visit.

You don't need SCDC Form 19-118 (Authorization for Adult Supervision of a Minor) for virtual visits. That form is only required for entry into an institution, not for video calls.

Quick Checklist

  • Be in place in front of your device 15 minutes before the visit starts
  • Stay fully clothed and avoid any sexual behavior or nudity
  • Don’t use or display drugs, alcohol, or weapons
  • Keep unauthorized people (adults or minors) from suddenly appearing on camera
  • Don’t join from prohibited locations like bedrooms or bathrooms

Reminder: Virtual visits are recorded and reviewed. If inappropriate actions happen, the visit can be terminated immediately and privileges may be suspended.
