How to Visit Oklahoma County Jail (OK)

For the walk-thru non-custodial arrest warrant process, bring two things: a valid state ID and a copy of the bond. Inside the facility, Oklahoma County Jail's movement rules require residents to present their issued identification when escorted to Medical, Attorney Visits, or Court (unless ordered otherwise). If your loved one mentions being moved for one of these appointments, ID checks are standard.

  • Walk quietly and stay in a single line when moving through hallways.
  • Do not talk, make loud noises, or use hand signs in the hallways.
  • Do not touch the walls or do anything disruptive while in the hallways.

Oklahoma County Jail has posted a temporary schedule for the walk-thru (non-custodial) arrest warrant process: Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and again from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

A schedule change is posted for February 3, 2026. Starting that date, walk-thru hours shift to Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Since the current schedule is labeled temporary, confirm which hours are in effect before you go.

Steps to Follow

  • Bring a valid state ID and a copy of the bond if you are using the walk-thru warrant process.
  • If you are a resident being escorted to Medical, Attorney Visits, or Court, be ready to present your issued identification unless you are ordered otherwise.
  • Walk quietly in a single line when moving through hallways.
  • Do not talk, make loud noises, or use hand signs while in the hallways.
  • Do not touch walls or display disruptive behavior while in the hallways.

Before heading over for a walk-thru warrant, confirm the hours for your specific date. The jail has posted a temporary Thursday schedule (11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.), plus a different schedule starting February 3, 2026 (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.).

  1. Confirm the walk-thru hours for your date: check the most current official notice for whether the temporary Thursday schedule is still in place, or whether the February 3, 2026 schedule has started.
  2. Verify the day and time window you plan to arrive: the posted options are Thursdays 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (temporary), or Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. starting February 3, 2026.
  3. Re-check close to your trip: if the jail updates postings, you want the newest schedule before you make the drive.

For a walk-thru warrant, make sure you have exactly what the jail requires: a valid state ID and a copy of the bond. If you're being escorted to Medical, Attorney Visits, or Court, confirm how issued identification is handled in that area. The posted rule says issued ID is required unless ordered otherwise.

Note: Hallway movement rules are strict at Oklahoma County Jail: quiet, single line, no talking or hand signs, no touching walls. If you have questions about enforcement in a specific area, ask staff before moving through the building.
