Canyon County Jail uses Summit Food Services for commissary. To add money for commissary/trust spending, families have two main options: deposit online through www.jailatm.com, or use the Summit kiosk in the visitation lobby (accepts debit/credit cards).

For online commissary deposits, go to www.jailatm.com. This is the option you want when you're putting money toward commissary rather than phone or video services.

Need to schedule visits or fund video visits and phone calls? That's a separate system - Canyon County directs you to www.inmatesales.com. Decide what you're paying for before you submit, since commissary and communication services use different deposit routes.

  • Use the lobby kiosk/cashier if you’re depositing in person - payment is by credit or debit card.
  • The Summit kiosk in the visitation lobby also accepts debit/credit cards.
  • Do not bring cash or a money order for deposits; Canyon County doesn’t accept them for inmate funds.

Commissary day is Saturday. Don't think of Saturday as the day to deposit - think of it as the day orders arrive.

Money must hit the inmate's account before Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. to count toward that week's Saturday order. Deposit after the cutoff and it won't be available until the following cycle.

Weekly limit: Inmates are currently allowed to spend up to $75.00 per week from their commissary/trust account.

Canyon County no longer accepts cash or money orders for inmate accounts. Show up with either and you'll need to switch to a card-based option.

Your workaround: the lobby kiosks. There's a kiosk/cashier option in the main lobby that takes credit/debit cards, and the Summit kiosk in the visitation lobby accepts debit/credit as well. If you're depositing in person, plan on using plastic.
