Setting Up Video Visits at Canyon County Jail: scheduling, time blocks, and the 2‑hour rule
Video visits at Canyon County Jail are easy to set up once you know the system. Here's how to book, which time slots are available, and the advance-scheduling rule you need to follow.
Book your video visit through InmateSales.com. That's where you'll pick your time slot and complete the reservation.
InmateSales.com also handles payments - you can add money to an inmate's account for video visits or phone calls. If you want to book and fund everything in one place, this is the system to use.
Prefer an in-person option? There's a CTel kiosk in the jail lobby for video visits. Handy if you're already at the facility.
Two-hour rule: All video visits must be scheduled at least two hours in advance, so same-hour or last-minute bookings won’t go through.
Time Blocks
- ✓ 7 days a week: 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
- ✓ 7 days a week: 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- ✓ 7 days a week: 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
The jail offers three daily time blocks: morning (8:00–10:30 a.m.), afternoon (12:00–4:30 p.m.), and evening (7:00–11:00 p.m.). Work backward from the slot you want. For a morning visit, book the day before or first thing that morning. Aiming for an evening session? Get it scheduled by late afternoon at the latest.
All video visits are recorded and monitored. Assume the call isn't private and keep the conversation appropriate.
Staff can end a session if rules are broken. If your visit gets cut short or something goes wrong with the connection, schedule a new one - just remember the two-hour advance requirement still applies.
