Fingerprinting at Carroll County Detention Center: Hours, What to Bring, and What to Expect
If you're coming to the Carroll County Detention Center for pre-employment fingerprinting, a little prep can save you a wasted trip. Here's what to know about hours, what to bring, and how long you might wait.
The Carroll County Sheriff's Office offers free fingerprinting for anyone who needs prints for a pre-employment background check.
Fingerprinting is handled through the Detention Center on specific days each week. If you're working against a hiring deadline, double-check the schedule before you go - showing up on an off day means a wasted trip.
Days and Hours
- ✓ Tuesday: 8:00am–4:00pm
- ✓ Thursday: 8:00am–4:00pm
- ✓ Saturday: 8:00am–4:00pm
What to Bring
- ✓ The letter you received that includes the control number for your background check
- ✓ Any ID documents your employer requires for the background-check process
Detention Center officers handle fingerprinting. They'll get to you as soon as they can, but keep in mind this is a working jail - staff may be pulled away to handle other duties.
Heads up: Wait times can vary depending on what else is happening at the facility. If things are especially busy, staff may ask you to come back later.
