Caswell Correctional Center offers both in-person and video visits, but everything is by appointment only. Call the prison to schedule, then confirm your visit the day before. Before visiting, you must be on the approved visitor list—offenders can't submit applications for you, and incomplete applications won't be approved. Each offender can have up to 18 approved visitors total, and visits are normally limited to once per week for up to two hours. No more than three approved visitors can attend a single visit. Some offenders (including those on segregation or control status) are limited to non-contact visits. Expect strict dress code enforcement. Cell phones are contraband. If you're 16 or older, you'll be subject to pat/frisk and electronic device searches.

Caswell CC (NCDAC) offers video visits through the department's video visiting app, but you must be on the incarcerated person's approved visitors list. Phone services, video visits, and tablet messaging all run through third-party vendors—you'll use their app or online portal rather than contacting the facility directly. To get started, create an account with the approved communications vendor, sign in, and add funds if calls or tablet features require payment. Schedule or start video visits through the vendor's website or app. You won't be able to connect until both you and the incarcerated person are approved in the vendor system.

Mail at Caswell Correctional Center works differently than standard letters. Most non-legal mail gets screened and scanned by an offsite vendor—your loved one receives a digital copy. Originals are only kept briefly and may be destroyed if not requested. Packages and publications usually need to go directly to the facility or through an approved vendor, not the scan vendor. For commissary-style packages, use the statewide NC inmate package vendor—items on that site are pre-approved for purchase. If the recipient gets placed on certain control statuses before an order ships, the vendor cancels it and refunds you minus a $5 restocking fee. Follow the vendor's addressing format and timing rules carefully, since delivery depends on both the vendor and the facility.

Caswell Correctional Center accepts deposits through third-party vendors: online at ConnectNetwork.com, mailed money orders to TouchPay, or in-person cash deposits through Western Union using the NCDAC TRUST payment code. NCDAC works with ViaPath and its subsidiaries for deposit services and vendor support if something goes wrong. For mailed money orders, make them payable to TouchPay and include the required deposit slip. Don't enclose letters, photos, staples, or anything extra. Mailed money orders typically post to the offender's trust/commissary account within ten business days (often sooner). Only approved visitors can deposit funds for an offender.
