Who Can Send Money to an Inmate at Caswell CC?

At Caswell Correctional Center, sending money to someone's account comes down to one rule: you must be on their approved visitors list.

At Caswell Correctional Center, the rule is straightforward: only approved visitors can deposit money into an offender's account. If you're not on their approved visitors list, your deposit won't go through, even if you have the person's name and ID information.

Tip: Before you try to send money, confirm you're listed as an approved visitor for the person you want to help. That one check can save you a lot of time and frustration.

This approved-visitor requirement applies no matter which deposit method you choose. NCDAC works with ViaPath (and its subsidiaries) for web, mobile, phone, and walk-in deposits, but the sender still has to be an approved visitor. If a deposit is getting blocked or you're deciding which method to use, start with the same question: are you on the approved visitors list for that person?

  1. Ask the incarcerated person to add you - The offender needs to request that you be included for visitation approval.
  2. Complete the visitor application and return it - A completed application has to be reviewed.
  3. Wait for facility staff approval - The application must be approved by facility staff before a visit can occur, and other visitation-related services also rely on that approved visitors list.
  4. Send money after you’re approved - Once you are an approved visitor, you can deposit funds (or another approved visitor can do it).
