How to Schedule Your First In-Person Visit at Central Prison (Raleigh)

Central Prison is located at 1300 Western Boulevard, Raleigh, NC 27606.

Call Central Prison at 919-733-0800 to schedule your visit. All NCDAC prisons, including Central Prison, require appointments for in-person visits. You can also email the facility to set up a time.

Keep your call or email simple and specific. Try something like: "Hi, I'm calling to schedule an in-person visit with [incarcerated person's name]. Can you confirm I'm on the approved visitors list and let me know what appointment times are available?"

Your visitor application must be approved before you can visit. If you try to schedule without approval, you'll likely be turned away or told to reschedule. Confirm your approval status when you call.

• ✓ Each offender can only get up to 18 blank applications to distribute.
• ✓ The offender must mail the blank applications to the people they want to visit them.
