Your First Video Visit at Charles B. Webster: Checklist and Arrival Tips

Your visit must be scheduled and approved before you arrive at Charles B. Webster. Plan to check in at the Visitor Center at least 15 minutes early. Show up late and you might only get whatever time remains in your window - or be turned away entirely.

If you need to schedule an on-site visit, you can do that at one of the two kiosks located in the Visitor Center.

Accepted IDs

  • Bring a picture I.D. - it’s required when you arrive to visit.
  • Accepted IDs: valid Georgia driver’s license, valid out-of-state driver’s license, valid passport, or valid military I.D.

Only one person may visit at a time, so plan accordingly if multiple family members want to see the same person.

Bringing kids? There are extra rules. One visitor under age 17 is allowed, but only when accompanied by a registered and approved parent or guardian. Children under 17 can't be left unattended in the lobby during visitation - make sure you have a supervision plan for the entire visit.

No electronics: Cell phones and any electronic recording devices are prohibited inside the video visitation area.

No food or drinks in the video visitation area. Smoking, eating, and drinking are all off-limits during your visit.

Visitation can be restricted: Visitation is a privilege, and inmates who become disciplinary problems or security risks may not be allowed to receive visitors.
