How to Schedule an In-Person Visit at Chelan County Jail (and Why Timing Matters)

In-person visits at Chelan County Jail happen twice a week: Wednesdays from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Each person in custody gets just one in-person visit per week - and the jail counts Wednesday and Saturday as a single "week." So picking the right day and booking at the right time really does matter.

You can't just call whenever you want. Chelan County Jail requires you to schedule during a specific one-hour window. Want a Wednesday night visit (8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.)? Call between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. that same Wednesday. Want Saturday afternoon (2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.)? Call the Friday before, between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Miss that window and you're out of luck for that day. Calling early doesn't help - you have to call during the designated hour.

Tip: Slots fill up first-come, first-served. Call right when the 10:00–11:00 a.m. window opens for the best chance at getting through.

Call (509) 667-6539 during the correct scheduling window to reserve your visit. Slots go first-come, first-served until they're gone. You can't schedule in person - showing up at the jail won't get you on the list. Have your details ready before you call: the name of the person you're visiting and which day you want (Wednesday or Saturday). Openings can disappear fast, so don't waste time digging for information once someone picks up.

Scheduling Tips

  • Call during the only scheduling window: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
  • For a Wednesday visit, call 10:00–11:00 a.m. on that same Wednesday.
  • For a Saturday visit, call 10:00–11:00 a.m. on the Friday before.
  • Call as close to 10:00 a.m. as you can - slots are first-come, first-served.
  • Don’t go to the jail expecting to book in person; appointments can’t be made in person.

Each person in custody gets one in-person visit per week. The jail counts Wednesday and Saturday as a single "week," so once you book one day, that's it until the next cycle. Wednesday visits run 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday visits run 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Think about your work schedule, childcare, and travel time before you decide which day works better.

Couldn't get through? Try again at the next window. Slots are first-come, first-served, and waiting even a few hours can put you behind other callers. For Wednesday visits, call between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. that same Wednesday. For Saturday visits, call between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
