When Inmates at Chesapeake Can Call and How to Set Up Phone & Video Accounts

In Chesapeake’s general housing units, telephones are available every day from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. If you’re trying to catch a first call (or return a missed one), it helps to keep that window in mind - most calls you’ll receive will come during those hours.

Setting up a prepaid telephone account ensures you won't miss calls. The easiest way is to call 877-578-3658 and set up or fund an account linked to your phone number. You can also manage everything online at videovisitanywhere (dot) com.

If your loved one uses Securus services, you may see an option called AdvanceConnect. This prepaid calling account lets you control spending, and you can also use it to add funds to your contact's Securus Debit account - money they can spend on Securus services at their facility.

Chesapeake uses Securus Video Connect for video sessions. It's web-based - you can join using the free Securus app, a computer, or a tablet, as long as you have internet access. If you're setting this up for the first time, create your account and get everything ready before your first scheduled session.
