Visiting Someone at the Chester County Work Release Center: Friday Evening Rules
Visits at the Chester County Work Release Center happen once a week during a narrow window. Here's what you need to know about Friday evening visits and what to confirm before you go.
Residents get one visit per week. That visit happens Friday evening between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. - a tight 90-minute window, so plan accordingly.
Before making the trip, confirm you're on the Residents Visiting List. You must be on this list to visit anyone at the facility. Show up without being listed, and you'll be turned away - even during the correct hours.
Visit days are assigned early. During intake, residents get a phone call to notify family and friends of their visit day. Didn't get that call? Not sure what day was assigned? Confirm before you go - this is the only visit opportunity for the week.
Practical Checklist
- ✓ Bring proper photo identification (a photo ID is required at each visit).
- ✓ Confirm you’re on the Residents Visiting List before you arrive.
Special authorization: Siblings and other family members who are 18 and older need special authorization from the Casework Department to visit.
Can't make your assigned visit? Don't assume you can switch to another day. Work Release residents only get one visit per week on their assigned day. Call ahead to confirm your day and ask if any alternate arrangement is possible.
- Call 610-344-4222 - after the voicemail answers, press 0 to find out if you are on the Residents Visiting List.
