How to Register, Search, and Buy Records from Childress County's Online Portal
Childress County's online records portal lets you search for free and purchase record images when available. Here's how registration works, what you can access as a guest, and what to expect at checkout.
Looking for paperwork tied to a case - a filing, a record image? The county's online portal can save you a trip. Searching is free. When you find what you need, you can purchase record images directly through the system. It's a quick way to confirm details without extra phone calls or in-person visits.
Note: Guest login only shows index information and a preview. If you need to buy the full record image, you’ll need to register.
- Open the Online Records Search site - Go to https://public.lgsonlinesolutions.com/ors.html.
- Start registration - Click New Account (it’s located at the bottom left).
Use a valid email address you can actually access. The portal sends a verification email to complete registration - if you can't get into that inbox, you'll be stuck before you even reach the search page.
Guest login is for browsing, not buying. You can view index information and see image previews, but purchasing the full image isn't available. If you need to download or keep a complete record, register first - that unlocks the purchase option.
Searching is free - no subscription required. The subscription question comes up when you move from searching to buying. You can purchase up to 5 images without subscribing. After that, a subscription is required to keep purchasing.
Cost heads-up: Every purchase includes a mandatory $0.30 transaction fee.
Hesitant about entering card details online? The portal uses a PCI Level 1 compliant payment processor - the highest compliance level for payment processing and encryption. According to the site, your credit card information isn't stored with your subscription data.
After you complete a transaction, the site redirects you and provides a download link for your purchase. Need to find something later? Go to the Subscriptions menu at the top and choose View Purchases to see your history. For receipts, look for View Receipts in the bottom right.
If something doesn’t show up: If you can’t find a record you expected to see in the portal, contact the county office that maintains those records and ask what options are available for getting a copy.
