What Attorneys Need to Know Before Visiting Chilton County Jail

To enter Chilton County Jail for an attorney visit, bring a valid government-issued photo ID and your Bar Card showing your ASB number. The Bar Card must be current - if it's expired or out-of-date, you won't get in. Double-check before you make the drive.

Prohibited

  • Electronic devices (including cellphones, computers, tablets, or similar devices)
  • Bags, briefcases, purses, wallets, or keys (not allowed in the presence of the inmate)

Note: If you need a pen during the visit, jail staff will furnish one.

Attorney visits run Monday through Friday in three windows: 8:00am–11:00am, 1:00pm–4:00pm, and 5:00pm–7:00pm. Plan around court and travel time - you don't want to show up right as a window is closing.

Time limit: All attorney visits must be completed by 8:00pm. Any visit outside the posted times has to be approved by the administration.
