When Commissary Orders Are Processed at Chilton County Jail (and when to add money)

Commissary orders at Chilton County Jail are processed Monday at 10:30 pm. If you're timing a deposit to count toward that week's order, that Monday cutoff is the one to watch.

After Monday night processing, commissary gets delivered on Wednesday. So even if the money clears and the order goes through, expect a couple of days before items actually reach the person inside.

Deadline: Funds must be on the inmate’s account by 5:00 am on Monday for them to receive that week’s store.

How to Add

  • Add funds at the lobby kiosk using cash
  • Add funds at the lobby kiosk using a debit card
  • Add funds at the lobby kiosk using a credit card

You can also add money online at team3.inmatecanteen.com. If you're trying to hit that Monday 5:00 am cutoff, don't wait until the last minute. Get the deposit in early enough for it to post by then.

Payment rule: Personal checks are not accepted for adding funds.

Disciplinary lockdown changes what someone can order. At Chilton County Jail, inmates on lockdown are limited to hygiene and medical items, writing supplies, and whites. If you're planning to deposit money for snacks or extras, check with your loved one first so you're not caught off guard by restrictions.

Warning: Any commissary items outside the allowed list will be destroyed when the inmate is placed into disciplinary lockdown.

  1. Act quickly if a pack was ordered before lockdown - If commissary packs/care packages were ordered prior to the inmate being placed on disciplinary lockdown, the person who ordered it has 10 days to pick it up.
  2. Bring a valid picture ID - You must present a valid picture ID when you pick up the items.
  3. Don’t miss the 10-day window - After 10 days, the items will be destroyed and there will be no refunds.
