If you're 18 or older, bring a valid photo ID to check-in. Clallam Bay Corrections Center accepts government-issued photo identification - a driver's license, state ID, or passport all work.

Note: Expired or non-photo ID isn’t accepted unless the Superintendent (or designee) approves it in an exceptional situation.

Lockers

  • Your keys (they’ll be secured in a Public Access locker prior to visiting - drivers may keep one car key and/or remote on a single-ring key chain)
  • Any medication you bring for the visit (all medication will be stored in a locker at Public Access)

Driving? You can bring one car key and/or remote on a single key ring. But your keys won't go into the visiting area - you'll lock them up in Public Access before heading in.

Need prescription medication or medical equipment during your visit? CBCC allows it if you can show proof of a prescription or medical need. Medication must be in the original container with your name, the medication name, pharmacy, and prescribing physician listed. Bring only what you'll need for the visit itself.

Note: Even if you bring medication for the visit, it will be stored in a locker at Public Access.

  1. Pack meds the right way - Bring prescription medication in the original container showing your name, the medication, the pharmacy, and the prescribing physician, and only the limited amount needed for the visit.
  2. Bring proof for medical needs - If you’re bringing medical equipment needed during the visiting period, have proof of prescription or medically authorized need with you.
  3. Plan to store medical items first - Any medication you bring will be stored in a locker at Public Access.

Cash isn't allowed in the visit room. At Clallam Bay Corrections Center, vending machine purchases work through a reloadable vending card instead.

You can buy the reloadable card in Public Access for $5 - bring cash in $1 and $5 bills. Once you have a card, you can load up to $40 for yourself, plus an additional $20 for the incarcerated individual.

Food rule: After you open vending items, remove them from the packaging and put them on plates or napkins. You and the incarcerated person can’t share food from the same plate, napkin, or container.

Before visiting, you'll sign DOC 21-575 (Acknowledgment of Visitor Search Requirements). This happens at check-in, so expect to handle it before you're cleared to enter.

Searches: Visitors may be subject to pat, electronic, vehicle, personal property, and/or canine searches. Cooperating with staff keeps check-in moving smoothly.
