What Physical Contact Is Allowed During Visits at CBCC

CBCC allows limited physical contact during in-person visits. Here's what's permitted at the start and end of a visit, and what you can (and can't) do once you're seated together.

At CBCC, a brief kiss is allowed at the beginning and end of a visit. The limit is 5 seconds, so keep it quick. Save the longer affection for your words during the visit itself.

A brief hug is also permitted at the beginning and end of a visit. CBCC limits hugs to 10 seconds, so think of it as a short hello and goodbye rather than extended contact.

Once the visit is underway, physical contact is very limited. You and your loved one can hold hands (kept in plain view) and touch each other's arms no higher than the top of the elbow. That's it.

Other Conduct Rules

  • Do not bring notes or letters into or out of the visit room unless you have specific authorization.
