What You Can and Can't Mail to Someone at Clark County Jail — Addresses & Tips
Nothing's worse than mail getting sent back because of a technicality. Use the correct CCDC address for what you're sending, follow the facility's strict paper and ink rules, and your letters will actually get through.
For physical social mail - letters and photos - use this address: Inmate Name – Inmate ID Number Clark County Detention Center PO Box 43059 Las Vegas, NV 89116 This is also where you'd mail inmate funds according to the personal mail guidance. Always write the inmate's full name and ID number on the outside so staff can route it to the right person.
Legal mail, official documents, and publications go to a different address: Inmate Name – Inmate ID Number Clark County Detention Center 330 S. Casino Center Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89101 Sending reading material like magazines, soft-covered books, or newspapers? It has to come directly from a publisher or commercial dealer. Don't mail it yourself from home - it won't be accepted.
CCDC also has a dedicated address for mailed deposits to an inmate's account: Inmate Name – Inmate ID Number Clark County Detention Center - 1115 PO Box 96777 Las Vegas, NV 89193 Not sure which funds address to use? Follow the instructions for your specific deposit type, and make sure the envelope clearly shows the inmate's name and ID number.
Quick reminder: Put the inmate’s name and inmate ID number on every letter, photo, publication, or funds deposit - and match the address to the mail type (social mail vs. legal/publications vs. funds-by-mail).
CCDC is strict about what materials you use. Letters must be on plain white paper in plain white envelopes. No colors, patterns, or fancy stationery.
Keep your writing simple: blue or black pen, pencil, or typed. Anything else risks getting screened out.
You can include photos with social mail, but they still have to meet CCDC's photo rules. Check the facility's current limits - including any size requirements - before you mail anything. Otherwise, your pictures could get kicked back along with the rest of the envelope.

What happens if something isn’t allowed: Unacceptable items can be returned to the sender or placed into the inmate’s property.
Want to send reading material? CCDC treats it as publications, not regular social mail. Magazines, soft-covered books, and newspapers must ship directly from a publisher or commercial dealer. Address them to the legal mail/publications address at 330 S. Casino Center Blvd. with the inmate's name and ID number.
Heads up: If you mail a book or magazine from home (or try to hand-deliver it), it may be rejected unless it’s shipped directly from a publisher or commercial dealer.
Your social mail will be opened. CCDC staff screens all non-legal mail for contraband. If something breaks the rules, the facility either sends it back to you or places it in the inmate's property, depending on the item and policy.
Don’t skip this: Always include a clear return address. If your mail is rejected, it can’t be returned to you without one.
