How to Contact an Inmate at Facility

To use the TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler, you have to create your own visitor account. TDCJ staff cannot create one for you, even if you're having trouble getting started. Before you sign up, choose the email address you want to stick with. Once an account is tied to an email address, the account cannot be deleted and the email address cannot be changed. A quick "temporary" email can easily turn into a long-term headache.

Once your account exists, staff can help with certain updates. TDCJ staff can assist with updating visitor information like names and addresses after the account has been created. But the first step is still on you. Create the account yourself, then reach out for help with any corrections they're able to make.

1. Create your TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler account yourself. TDCJ staff cannot create visitor accounts for you.
2. Choose your email carefully. Once your account is created, the account cannot be deleted and the email address cannot be changed.
3. Save your login details. You will need the same account to manage scheduling going forward.
