To receive calls, set up a Securus account - either pre-paid collect or direct bill. You can do this through the Securus Technologies website or by calling 1-800-844-6591.

  • Decide which phone numbers should be able to receive calls; multiple telephone numbers can be added to one individual pre‑paid collect account.
  • Have the phone numbers ready to enter so you don’t have to restart the setup process later.
  • Keep your payment method nearby so you can fund the account once the numbers are added.

Georgia prisons use Securus, and the rate is $0.06 per minute for prepaid, direct billed, and debit calls. That same rate applies whether the call is local, in-state long distance, out-of-state, or international.

A full 25-minute call runs $1.50. The math is simple: 25 minutes × $0.06 = $1.50. For shorter calls, just multiply the minutes by $0.06 - a 10-minute call costs $0.60, and 15 minutes costs $0.90.

Note: Offenders can transfer money from their trust accounts to Securus debit calling accounts in $1 increments to complete telephone calls.

Funding a pre-paid collect account? Deposits max out at $200.00 each. If you need to add more, you'll have to split it into multiple deposits.

Call Rules and Restrictions

  • Calls may be monitored and recorded.
  • Call forwarding and three-way calling are not permitted.
  • The maximum time allowed per call is 25 minutes.
  • Calls are restricted to only the telephone numbers included on the offender’s Call Allow List.

That 25-minute limit is firm - the system cuts off the call when time's up, even mid-sentence. If you're not receiving calls at all, check whether your number is on the offender's Call Allow List. Calls only go through to approved numbers.
