Setting Up GTL Video Visits from an iPhone (Cobb County)

For video visits with Cobb County inmates from an iPhone or iPad, use Safari and head to the GTL Visit Me site at https://cobbcountyga.gtlvisitme.com/app. This is where you'll schedule visits and connect to the actual video call.

Skip the search for a dedicated iPhone app - there isn't one. Safari is your best bet. Open the site, sign in, and you can schedule and join visits from there.

1. Open Safari on your iPhone - this is the browser GTL directs iOS users to use for Cobb County.
2. Go to https://cobbcountyga.gtlvisitme.com/app and sign in - this is where you’ll schedule and conduct the internet video visit.
3. Pick a visit time and plan around the schedule - visits are scheduled on the hour and last 30 minutes.
4. Check in on time (or within the grace period) - late check-in is allowed until 15 minutes past the scheduled hour, but the visit won’t be extended.
5. Don’t wait too long to join - if you check in more than 15 minutes after the scheduled visit time, the visit is forfeited.

Before scheduling anything, finish GTL's registration process. Cobb County requires visitors to complete registration first, and you'll need an approved GTL visitor account to access the video visitation system.

You can get a head start by pre-registering online through GTL Visit Me or at the self-serve kiosk in the Visitation Center. But pre-registration alone won't get you approved. You'll still need to show a valid government-issued photo ID to Visitation Center staff between 7:00 A.M. and 10:00 P.M. to complete the process.
