How to Withdraw Money from an Inmate's Account at Cobb County (Wednesdays Only)

Cobb County doesn't let you request or pick up inmate-account withdrawals whenever you want. The jail processes them once a month, and the inmate must consent before any funds can be released to someone outside.

Once funds are authorized, you pick them up in person. Head to the Visitor's Center at 1877 County Services Parkway, Marietta, GA 30008 on a Wednesday between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm.

You'll need to prove who you are. Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID - the original, not a photocopy. You must be 18 or older.

1. Confirm the inmate has consented to the withdrawal - withdrawals are only processed once each month, and they require the inmate’s consent.
2. Call before you make the trip - confirm the withdrawal is ready to be picked up so you don’t show up and get turned away.
3. Make sure the right person is going - the recipient needs to be 18+ and have a valid government-issued photo ID (photocopies won’t work).
4. Go on the correct day and within the window - pick up is Wednesdays only, 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, at the Visitor’s Center at 1877 County Services Parkway, Marietta, GA 30008.
