Securus remote video visits are scheduled through the vendor's website - not through the regular in-person visitation process. If you're stuck trying to book a remote visit, double-check that you're in the vendor's scheduling flow. That's where these appointments are made.

Remote video visits run up to 60 minutes, and inmates are limited to one per month. Even if you see multiple time slots available, plan around that once-a-month cap.

Each Securus remote video visit costs $10.00 - a flat rate you can budget for before you start scheduling.

TDCJ tablet visitation is a separate program, scheduled through the TDCJ visitation portal online. Use the state's portal for tablet visits - not the vendor site you'd use for remote/kiosk visits.

You'll need to create your own account in the TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler. TDCJ staff can't set up visitor accounts for you, so register before you try to book a time.

Note: Securus remote video visits are scheduled through the vendor website, while TDCJ tablet visits are scheduled through the TDCJ visitation portal. If you’re in the wrong system, you may not see the options you expect.
