What you can (and can’t) bring into the Columbia CI visiting room
Want snacks or drinks during your visit? Bring cash for the vending machines - up to $50 per visitor, regardless of age. Stick to $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills only. Larger bills won't work, and neither will coins.
That cash is strictly for vending. You cannot give money to the person you're visiting - staff treat this as prohibited, no exceptions.
Need prescription medication during your visit? Keep it simple for staff to verify. Bring only the dose you'll need, and keep it in the original pharmacy container. The label must be readable and show the medication name, dosage instructions, and the person it was prescribed to.
Infant Child Items Limits
- ✓ No more than five (5) diapers
- ✓ No more than three (3) clear baby bottles
- ✓ No more than two (2) toddler sipper cups
- ✓ No more than three (3) clear plastic jars of sealed (unopened) baby food
Warning: Staff won't hold or store items for you - period. If you bring something that can't go in, you'll need to take it back to your car.
