Setting Up Video Visits at Columbia County Prison: Complete Registration & Rules
Video visits at Columbia County Prison are straightforward once you understand the system. Here's how to register, schedule your session, and avoid losing a paid visit to a late login or connection problem.
Columbia County Prison uses IC Solutions for remote video visits. To get started, create a visitor account at www.icsolutions.com. You can't schedule anything until your registration is complete.
Remote video visits cost $8.75 each and last 25 minutes. If you're planning multiple sessions per week, budget accordingly.
No refunds for no-shows: Miss your scheduled video visit and you won't get your money back. Only book times you can definitely make - and plan to log in early.
You must book at least 24 hours ahead, and you can schedule up to two weeks in advance. Want a specific day or time? Don't wait - once you're inside that 24-hour window, you'll need to pick a later slot.
People in general population housing can receive up to three remote video visits per week, and those visits happen on Tuesday or Thursday. Coordinating with other family members? Keep that limit in mind so you don't accidentally overbook.
Don't be late: If either you or the incarcerated person isn't logged in within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time, the visit gets marked as missed.
For Housing Units A, B, B-ISO, C, DN, DS, F, and Medical, remote visits are available seven days a week during three windows: 8:30 AM–12:30 PM, 1:30 PM–3:30 PM, and 4:30 PM–9:30 PM. Pick a time when you can be online and settled before the session starts.
If your internet drops during a remote video visit, you can't reconnect - and there's no refund. The same goes for no-shows. Treat this like any important appointment: use a stable connection, don't switch networks mid-session, and sign in before your start time.
Practical Tips
- ✓ Register your visitor account at www.icsolutions.com before you try to schedule.
- ✓ Schedule at least 24 hours ahead (and no more than two weeks out) so you’re not blocked by the cutoff.
- ✓ Keep the visit to a maximum of two people, using an allowed setup: either two adults, or one adult and one child.
- ✓ Plan to be logged in 10–15 minutes early so you don’t hit the “missed after 10 minutes” rule.
- ✓ Test your device and internet ahead of time so you don’t lose the session - disconnections can’t be rejoined and aren’t refunded.
New arrivals: People who just arrived at the facility can't receive visits until they've completed the initial 48-hour classification period.
