How to Visit Facility

Before you can visit, you need to be approved as a visitor. Start by completing the Georgia DOC Visitation Request Form and submitting it to the facility where the inmate is housed.

Once you're approved, you can request a specific visit time through Georgia DOC's online Request a Visit form. This is separate from the Visitation Request Form you already submitted for approval.

Steps

• ✓ Fill out the Visitation Request Form, then submit the completed form to the facility where the inmate is incarcerated (this is how you become an approved visitor).
• ✓ Request your scheduled visit through Georgia DOC’s Request a Visit form.

• ✓ If you already have a scheduled visitation and need to add additional visitors, use the Georgia DOC link that lets you find your scheduled visit and add visitors.
• ✓ If you have a scheduled visitation appointment you need to cancel, use the Georgia DOC link that lets you find and cancel your scheduled visit.

Each facility may have its own submission instructions for the Visitation Request Form, even though the form itself is statewide. Before sending anything, confirm how this facility wants the form submitted. Also double-check that you're using the correct Georgia DOC Request a Visit form for scheduling visits at this location.
