Saturday Visitation at Coosa County Jail: Cellblock Times, 15-Minute Visits, and What to Expect
Saturday visitation at Coosa County Jail runs by cellblock, and visits are short—just 15 minutes. Showing up at the right time with the right expectations makes the whole process smoother.
Saturday visitation is for inmates in general population, with time windows assigned by cellblock. Your arrival time depends on where your person is housed. Here's the Saturday schedule: A Block visits 7–9 AM, B Block 9–11 AM, C Block 12–2 PM, and D Block 2–3 PM. Show up during the wrong block's time, and you may not get in. Confirm the inmate's current cellblock before you go. Even a small housing change can shift your visit from early morning to midday.
Reminder: These Saturday time slots are assigned by cellblock and apply to inmates held in general population. Make sure you’re matching the inmate’s block to the correct window before you arrive.
Visits are limited to 15 minutes. That goes fast. Come in ready - know what you want to talk about, and expect the visit to end right when time is up.
Each inmate can have a maximum of two visitors per week. If you're coordinating with other family or friends, talk ahead of time so you don't accidentally use up both slots before everyone gets a chance.
Check-in note: You must sign in with ID verification and sign out on the Jail Visitors Roster posted at the dispatch window. A corrections officer uses that roster to enter visitor information into the Southern Software System visitor log.
Once your visit ends, you need to leave the jail. Visitors can't stay inside to chat with staff or other inmates - head out as soon as you're done.
Visitation is a privilege, not a right. It can be revoked for disciplinary reasons, rule violations, or security concerns. The Jail Administrator or Lieutenant can also suspend regular visiting hours during emergencies or situations that threaten the orderly operation of the jail.
Warning: If you refuse to submit to a search, you can be denied access to the jail on a temporary or permanent basis. Staff can also remove visitors who are disruptive.
