How to Send Money to Someone at Corrigan‑Radgowski (Trust Fund, JPay Tablet Accounts)

You have two options for sending money to someone at Corrigan‑Radgowski: mail a money order to the Inmate Trust Fund, or add funds to their tablet media account through JPay (Securus). Which one you choose depends on what the money is for—everyday commissary needs or tablet media purchases.

How to Send Money to Someone at Corrigan‑Radgowski (Trust Fund, JPay Tablet Accounts)

At Corrigan‑Radgowski, money goes into one of two buckets. The Inmate Trust Fund covers general commissary purchases - you fund it by mailing a money order. The tablet media account is separate and (as of August 18, 2025) can be funded directly through JPay (Securus) for things like music, games, and other tablet content.

Two rules to know before you send anything. First, tablet media accounts cap out at $150 - if your deposit would push the balance over that limit, it won't go through. Second, Securus/JPay won't process direct tablet deposits for anyone with outstanding PLRA (Prison Litigation Reform Act) financial obligations.

To fund the Inmate Trust Fund, mail your money order to: Inmate Trust Fund, P.O. Box 290800, Wethersfield, CT 06129-0800.

  • Include complete, legible remitter information (using the Inmate Trust Fund Remitter Form is allowed)
  • Put the incarcerated person’s full name and correctional ID number on the money order

Want to add money specifically for tablet media? You can do that through JPay (Securus). This direct-deposit option became available August 18, 2025, and it's completely separate from mailing a money order to the Inmate Trust Fund.

Good news on timing: once JPay/Securus processes your payment, the funds hit your loved one's tablet account immediately.

  1. Sign in to JPay (Securus) - Use the JPay website or the JPay mobile app.
  2. Find your loved one - Add/select them using Connecticut as the state and their CT DOC ID number.
  3. Choose the tablet media funding option - Select the option to fund the tablet media account.
  4. Enter the amount and submit payment - Complete the payment details and submit.
  5. Save your confirmation - After you submit, keep the confirmation/payment status for your records.
  6. Watch for the funds to land - Once the payment is processed, the deposit is applied to the tablet account immediately.

Tablet media accounts have a hard $150 ceiling. If your deposit won't go through, check whether it would push the balance over that limit - that's often the culprit.

PLRA restriction: Securus/JPay will not process direct deposits into tablet media accounts for incarcerated people who have outstanding PLRA financial obligations.

Practical Tips

  • If a tablet deposit is being declined, ask whether there are outstanding PLRA obligations that block direct deposits
  • If you’re trying to add a larger amount, check whether the tablet balance is already close to the $150 maximum

Save your JPay/Securus confirmation after every deposit. If there's ever a question about where the money went, that confirmation is your proof. And remember - funds apply immediately once the payment processes.

Having trouble with a payment error, account lookup, or questions about how tablet deposits work? Start with JPay/Securus customer support - they run the deposit system.
