How to Apply for Visiting Privileges at Coyote Ridge Corrections Center (CRCC)
Visiting someone at Coyote Ridge Corrections Center (CRCC) starts with getting approved through Washington DOC's visitor approval process. No visits - in person or by video - until you're on the incarcerated person's Approved Visitor List.
Which-forms
- ✓ If you’re 18 or older, fill out DOC 20-060 (Visitor Application).
- ✓ Plan ahead for the day of the visit: visitors age 18+ must bring a valid, current photo ID (driver’s license or state ID; international visitors must present a passport).
- ✓ For a minor visitor, fill out DOC 20-181 (Minor Visitor Application).
- ✓ Attach a completed DOC 20-441 (Parental/Guardian Consent for Minor Visit and/or Escort) to the minor’s visit application.
- ✓ Make sure DOC 20-441 is submitted to the Statewide Visit Unit before the date of the visit at dochqvisitunit@doc.wa.gov.
- Submit your visitor application - once it’s received, the Statewide Visit Unit enters your information into the statewide visit system.
- Wait for processing and status updates - the Statewide Visit Unit updates your application status and, when available, adds a picture of each visitor to their profile.
- Watch for the decision email - you’ll be notified by email when your application has been processed.
Heads up: Don’t submit more than one visitor application. A duplicate application can void the earlier one and restart the processing timeframe.
Applications are processed in the order they’re received, and it can take up to 45 business days. If an application needs additional review, it may take longer - so build that possibility into your plans.
Before you travel, check CRCC's facility-specific information on the DOC site. Coyote Ridge has its own visitor guidelines, visiting hours, and event calendar. Those details will help you pick the right visit date and time.

Stuck on something - missing paperwork, unclear status, or a question about bringing a minor? Reach out to the facility's visit staff or the Statewide Visit Unit. For minor visits, remember that DOC 20-441 must be submitted to the Statewide Visit Unit (dochqvisitunit@doc.wa.gov) before the visit date. Double-check that step if a minor isn't getting approved as expected. When you contact them, include the incarcerated person's six-digit DOC number so staff can pull up the right record quickly.
