If a Deposit Is Reversed: Understanding Chargebacks and Reactivation Fees for Oklahoma Inmate Accounts
A reversed deposit — called a chargeback — can lock an inmate's account and block new funds until the issue is resolved. Here's how restrictions work, what fees apply, and what you can do.
When a transaction is reported as unauthorized and becomes a chargeback, the inmate's account gets restricted. No new deposits can come through until Access Corrections is reimbursed or the issue is resolved.
To lift the restriction, you'll need to reimburse the chargeback amount plus a $25 account reactivation fee. Access Corrections requires this fee to reopen the account.
How to Repay
- ✓ Pay chargeback repayments by money order only.
- ✓ Mail it to: Access Corrections, ATTN: CB Repayments, P.O. BOX 28998, ST. LOUIS, MO 63132.
- ✓ Write the inmate name, ODOC number, and facility name on the money order.
Note: Payments cannot be accepted by phone for chargeback repayments.
If you have questions about a chargeback repayment, call Access Corrections at 636-888-7004. They can answer questions, but they cannot take payments over the phone.
The chargeback restriction and repayment process above applies at the Access Corrections/ODOC level.
