Before You Visit Crowley: The Check-In Process and What to Expect

If you're an approved visitor age 18 or older, you'll need valid picture ID to get in. But the ID check actually starts earlier - when you submit your visiting application, include a copy of a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID. Make sure the address on your ID matches what you put on the application. A mismatch can get your application denied.

No ID? No entry. If you show up without valid identification or refuse to follow any entrance procedure, you'll be denied entry and required to leave facility property immediately.

At check-in, you'll complete AR Form 300-01B - the Offender Visitor Consent to Search Authorization. Everyone fills this out before entering. The form stays on file for one year, then you'll need to sign a new one.

  • Bring your valid photo ID.
  • Make sure the address on your ID matches the address on your visiting application.
  • Be ready to provide the visitor names exactly as they should appear for the visit.

Refuse the form, lose your visit. If you won't complete AR Form 300-01B or refuse any entrance procedure, you'll be turned away and required to leave immediately.

Before You Visit Crowley: The Check-In Process and What to Expect

Crowley is a level III facility housing medium-custody inmates, which means hand-stamping is part of the entry process. Staff will stamp the back of your right hand with an ultra-violet marker before you go in. When you leave, they'll check the stamp under a black light to confirm your identity.

Exception: Children under three don't need the hand stamp.

  1. Check in with your photo ID - approved visitors 18+ must present valid picture identification before admission.
  2. Complete AR Form 300-01B - you’ll register by filling out the Offender Visitor Consent to Search Authorization before entering.
  3. Get the UV hand stamp (most visitors) - at medium-custody facilities like Crowley, the back of your right hand is stamped with an ultra-violet marker before you’re allowed in (children under three are exempt).

Before any of this, make sure your visiting application is submitted correctly - CDOC asks visitors to follow Crowley's specific instructions for where and how to submit. Ready to schedule? Contact the visitation office by phone at 719-267-3548 ext. 23898 (Thursday through Monday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) or email crowleyvisitation@corecivic.com.
