Check-In at Crowley: The UV Hand Stamp, Consent-to-Search Form, and ID Procedures
Visiting Crowley goes smoother when you know what to expect at the front desk. Here's how the ID check, consent form, and UV hand stamp work—so you can breeze through check-in.
If you're an approved visitor and at least 18 years old, bring a valid, government-issued photo ID. Staff will check it to verify your identity, so have it ready when you reach the desk.
On-site visitation runs Thursday through Monday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You'll need to request your visit by phone at 719-267-3548 ext. 23898 - call ahead before making the drive, and plan your arrival around those hours.
At check-in, you'll complete AR Form 300-01B - the Offender Visitor Consent to Search Authorization. Every visitor signs it. The form confirms you understand you may be searched before entering the facility.
You won't need to fill out AR Form 300-01B every visit. Once completed, the facility keeps it on file for one year. After that, you'll sign a new one.
Because Crowley is a level III (medium custody) facility, there's an extra step: staff will stamp the back of your right hand with an ultra-violet (UV) marker before you enter. Children under age three are exempt. The employee authorizing your entry applies the stamp during check-in.
