Setting Up Video Visits at Crowley Through Securus: From Application to First Call

Before scheduling a video visit at Crowley, you need to be approved and added to the incarcerated person's visiting list. Start with the visiting application, and include a copy of a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID. One detail that trips people up: the address on your ID must match the address on your application, or you'll likely get denied. Once you're approved, you can set up video visits through Securus.

  • List any minor children on the parent/guardian’s visitor application (minors do not count toward the 12 approved visitors).
  • Submit a copy of the child’s birth certificate, or an adoption/guardianship order, with the application.

Crowley handles video visits through Securus. After your visitor approval comes through, you'll create an account on Securus and use it to schedule calls. The key thing to know: you won't schedule directly through the facility. Everything runs through Securus.

Reminder: Everyone who appears on camera must be an approved visitor. If someone unapproved joins the call, the visit can be terminated and your visiting privileges may be suspended.

During the video visit, both you and the incarcerated person must be visually identifiable at all times. Keep your face uncovered and in clear view of the camera - nothing blocking the lens.

Do not record or stream: Live streaming or recording phone calls and video visits is prohibited, except for law enforcement purposes. Recording or other inappropriate behavior during a visit can result in immediate termination.
