If you've sent mail to Cumberland County Detention Center before, here's the biggest change: your letter doesn't go to the jail anymore. Starting June 26, 2023, all personal mail—letters, cards, photos, drawings—gets routed to an offsite mail-scan vendor. The vendor scans everything and delivers it digitally to the person in custody. Mail sent to the old address gets returned. Using the correct address is the single easiest way to avoid rejection.
