Setting Up Video Visits at DRDC: How to Schedule, Session Lengths, and Kiosk Blackout Times
Video visits at DRDC are straightforward once you know the basics: you need to be on the person's approved visiting list, and you'll book through DRDC's scheduling system. Here's how to set things up without getting tripped up by blackout times or booking deadlines.
Everyone appearing on a video visit must be approved on the incarcerated person's visiting list. Not approved yet? Grab the application from the Visiting Applications page and submit it to DRDC's Visiting Department by mail or email - you'll find the addresses on DRDC's facility page.
DRDC video visits are scheduled online through Securus Technologies. Once you’re approved to visit, you’ll use Securus to set up and schedule your session.
Booking Rules
- ✓ Schedule your video visit by midnight the day before the visit.
- ✓ You can book no more than seven days in advance.
- ✓ Session lengths are 10 minutes or 25 minutes.
- ✓ Inmates are limited to two video visiting sessions per day.
Video visits run daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. When picking your time slot, avoid the kiosk blackout periods below - scheduling during those windows means the kiosks won't be available.
Kiosk blackout times: DRDC kiosks are not available from 10:00 a.m.–11:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m.–4:45 p.m., and 9:15 p.m.–9:45 p.m.
Need a refund for a DRDC video visit? Refunds go through the video visit provider, so you'll need to contact them directly.
