Scheduling your first visit at Dodge Correctional Institution is straightforward once you understand the system. Here's how to set it up, plus the limits that can trip you up if you don't plan ahead.

In-person visits at DCI run Monday through Thursday for both Reception and General Population (GP). GP also has Saturday visiting. Every visit needs to be scheduled ahead of time. In-person visits require at least 48 hours' notice, and on-unit video visits do too. One extra rule for on-unit video visits: you can only schedule them up to seven days into the future.

Video visits come with their own limits. The person in custody gets one free ICSolutions video visit per week. You can purchase one additional video visit per week for $2.50. One thing to know: ICS video visits are not available for people housed in RHU (restrictive housing). If your loved one is in RHU, the video option through ICSolutions won't be available.

All visits at DCI (in-person and video) are scheduled through ICSolutions. If you're 18 or older, you'll need your own ICSolutions account. Each adult visitor should register separately rather than sharing one login.

You’ll need a Party ID to set up your account and schedule visits. That Party ID has to come from the person in custody (PIOC). DCI staff cannot provide Party IDs, so your fastest path is to ask your loved one directly for it.

When you're ready to book, timing matters. Both in-person and on-unit video visits must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance. For on-unit video visits, you also can't book more than seven days out. That gives you a pretty narrow window, so don't wait too long, but don't try to book weeks ahead either.

DCI limits how many visits you can have on the calendar at once through ICSolutions: two total. If you're trying to line up multiple visits, you may need to wait until one happens (or drops off your schedule) before you can book the next.

Weekly limits depend on the person's status. General Population (GP) gets three in-person visits per week. Reception gets two. On the video side, the person in custody gets one free ICSolutions video visit per week, plus one additional visit that can be purchased for $2.50. When you combine these limits with the two-scheduled-visits-at-a-time rule, it pays to plan your next visit as soon as you're inside the scheduling window.

RHU exception: ICS video visits are not available for people housed in RHU (restrictive housing) at DCI.
