Dominguez State Jail holds visitation on weekends only—Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Under TDCJ I-218 rules, eligible inmates get one visit per visiting cycle (Monday–Sunday). To schedule, register through the TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler: create an account, confirm it with a 7-digit email validation code, and complete the Background Questionnaire. Each inmate can have up to 10 names on their approved Visitors List. In state jail, list changes are typically allowed every 60 days, and removed visitors can appeal within 14 days of notice. Non-attorney visits are electronically monitored. Contact visits allow brief embraces at the start and end. Some inmates have restrictions on visitors under 17 without a Non-Victim Child Affidavit. Only coins (max $35) are allowed inside the secure perimeter.

Dominguez State Jail uses Securus for remote video visits. Each session lasts 60 minutes and costs $10.00. Inmates are limited to one remote video visit per month. For phone calls, register your telephone number online and provide the inmate's TDCJ ID number. The unit also lists a phone registration/help line if you need assistance. Phone service runs from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., with calls limited to 30 minutes. Except for attorney calls, all calls are monitored and recorded. Book video visits through the vendor's portal—confirm availability before scheduling.

Dominguez State Jail routes most personal mail through Texas's centralized digital mail process. Address your letter to the Digital Mail Processing Center using the inmate's full name and TDCJ number, then mail it to PO Box 660400, Dallas, TX 75266-0400. Accepted pages are screened and scanned for delivery to the inmate—typically to a secure device, or as an approved printed copy when applicable. Some mail shouldn't go to the Dallas PO Box: legal/privileged correspondence, media mail, and books or magazines from verified publishers should be mailed directly to the unit instead. To avoid delays, double-check the name and ID, and include your return address. Keep legal mail separate since it follows a different inspection process at the unit.

Dominguez State Jail only allows deposits from people on an inmate's Approved Visitation List or Inmate Telephone List. To become an approved sender, the inmate must add you to their visitation list, or you must register your phone with Securus. Don't mail cash or personal checks—the Inmate Trust Fund won't accept them, and they'll be returned. For commissary-style purchases, the facility uses eCommDirect. Each purchase transaction has a $3.75 fee, and online deposits cost $2.50 plus 2.25% of the amount. Quarterly spending limits are $70 for Jan–Mar, Apr–Jun, and Jul–Sep, and $95 for Oct–Dec. Newly received inmates can't receive eCommDirect purchases until the next calendar quarter.
