Under TDCJ policy (I-218), regular visiting hours at Dominguez State Jail are Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. That's the unit's official weekend window for visitation - not a guarantee you can walk in anytime and stay all day.

TDCJ schedules visits using a "visiting cycle" that runs Monday through Sunday. Each eligible inmate gets one visit per cycle. So even though visiting happens on weekends, that weekend visit counts toward the Monday–Sunday week. Once it's used, you can't schedule another until the next cycle begins.

Reminder: All inmate visits are subject to electronic monitoring, except for attorney-client visits.

Those weekend hours tell you when visitation is normally offered - they don't guarantee a visit on any particular day. TDCJ rules allow visits to be temporarily suspended during unit lockdowns, serious incidents like escapes or disturbances, or health and safety emergencies.

Watch for this message: If your Visitor/Inmate relationship is approved but the inmate’s visitation privileges have been removed, the online scheduler may show “Not Approved for Visits” instead of a “Schedule Visit” button.
