How to Add or Cancel Visitors for a Scheduled Visit at Dooly State Prison

How to Add or Cancel Visitors for a Scheduled Visit at Dooly State Prison

You can only modify a visit that's already on the calendar. To add people to an existing appointment, use the GDC

Note: Adding someone to your scheduled visit doesn't skip the approval process. Any visitor you add must already be approved through the Visitation Request Form submitted to the facility.

How to Add or Cancel Visitors for a Scheduled Visit at Dooly State Prison
  1. Open the GDC “Add Visitor” option - use it to find your existing scheduled visitation.
  2. Select the scheduled visit you want to update - you’re adding people to a visit that already exists, not creating a new appointment.
  1. Choose the visitors you want to add - add additional visitors to that scheduled visit through the GDC “Add Visitor” option.
  2. Make sure each added person is already approved - to become an approved visitor, they must fill out the Visitation Request Form and submit the completed form to the facility where the inmate is incarcerated.

Tip: If someone isn't approved yet, submit a Visitation Request Form to the facility first. Once they're processed as an approved visitor, you can add them to your scheduled visit.

  1. Open the GDC “Cancel my visit” option - use it to find your scheduled visitation.
  2. Cancel the scheduled visit - once you locate the appointment, follow the prompts to cancel it.

Note: If you can't make it, cancel as soon as possible so the time slot opens up for someone else.

Dooly State Prison holds scheduled visitation on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The deadline to request a weekend visit is 5:00 PM on Wednesday of the same week.

Scheduled visitation is also available on state holidays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The cutoff to request a state holiday visit is 5:00 PM three days before the holiday.

Note: These cutoff times are strict. Plan ahead - you won't be able to make changes after the deadline passes.
