How to Schedule Your First Visit at Dooly State Prison (weekends & state holidays)
Scheduling your first visit at Dooly State Prison takes two steps: get approved as a visitor, then submit your visit request through the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) scheduling form before the cutoff.
Visitation hours at Dooly State Prison run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturdays, Sundays, and State Holidays. Plan ahead - there's a weekly submission deadline for weekend visits, plus a separate deadline for holidays.
You can't schedule a visit until you're an approved visitor. Start by filling out the Visitation Request Form and submitting it to Dooly State Prison. Once you're approved, you can request a specific visit date.
- Use the GDC “Request a visit” form - This is the Georgia Department of Corrections’ online form used to request a scheduled visit.
- Enter the required details - You’ll provide the information the form asks for so the request matches the correct person in custody and the correct visitor.

Note: If you already have a visit scheduled, the GDC site also has options to add additional visitors to that scheduled visit or cancel the appointment.
