Mail & Letters
- Incoming regular postal mail is scanned into the Smart system and made available for the AIC to view on Smart devices.
- Mail to be scanned must be addressed to Smart Communications / Douglas County Jail and mailed to PO Box 9213, Seminole, FL 33775-9213.
- The AIC’s name and booking/ID number must be clearly printed on the outside of mail to ensure it posts to the correct account.
Sending Money
- You can deposit funds online at smartinmate.com, by phone at (727) 349-1561 (daily 7:00 am–12:00 midnight EST), at lobby kiosks, or by U.S. mail.
- The Keefe Kiosk on the 3rd floor near the visiting entrance accepts cash or credit/debit during normal business hours (8 am–5 pm Monday–Friday, excluding holidays).
- Access Secure Deposits provides toll-free phone deposits (866-345-1884) and internet deposits with fees as low as $3.95 by phone and $2.95 online, accepting Mastercard and Visa.
Facility Info
- Beginning January 2024 Douglas County Jail participates in the Access Corrections Package Program that allows AICs to receive $50 worth of commissary products.
- To order commissary you must create an account on the Access Corrections Packages website and ensure the AIC is currently in the facility and not scheduled for release.
- If an AIC leaves before commissary distribution, items must be picked up within 48 hours or a property-release arrangement must be made for someone else to retrieve them.
