How to Schedule a Free Video Visit at Douglas County Justice Building

For the free, on-site option, head to the Justice Building's 3rd-floor lobby. You'll find three video visitation units there - one is ADA compliant if you need an accessible setup.

  • ✓ Monday–Friday: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (excluding holidays)
  1. Go to SmartInmate and start your scheduling - The Justice Building kiosks are free to use, but you do have to schedule the visit ahead of time online.
  2. Pick an available time and complete the reservation - Choose a slot that works for you during kiosk hours, then finish the booking so you’re on the schedule.
  3. Show up for your appointment and follow any on-site check-in instructions - If you receive a confirmation from the scheduling system, keep it handy in case staff ask to see it.

iPhone tip: Use a browser like Google Chrome to join your visit. Safari isn’t compatible and may not work properly.
