Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays: Dutchess County Contact & Booth Visit Schedule
Planning a jail visit is stressful enough without guessing which days allow contact visits and which are booth-only. Here's the Dutchess County Jail schedule breakdown—so you can pick the right day, show up on time, and avoid a wasted trip.
Contact visits at Dutchess County Jail happen three days a week: Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Any other day? No contact visits. That includes Saturdays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and holidays.
Even with three contact-visit days available, classified incarcerated individuals are limited to two 60-minute contact visits per week. Pick which two days work best - you can't squeeze in a third by showing up all three days.
Booth visits are non-contact, but Dutchess County Jail has a special rule for the start of someone's incarceration: each incarcerated individual gets one booth visit within the first 24 hours. This initial visit is capped at 30 minutes and doesn't count against the weekly visitation allowance - it's designed to help you connect early without eating into regular visits.
- ✓ Morning booth sessions: 8:30am–9:30am and 9:50am–10:50am
- ✓ Afternoon booth sessions: 12:20pm–1:20pm and 1:50pm–2:50pm
- ✓ Sign in at least 30 minutes before the session starts (no exceptions)
- Confirm whether contact visits are allowed for the person you’re visiting - contact visits are available on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, but you should check eligibility before you plan around those days.
- Go in person to schedule your visit for that session - all visits (contact or booth) must be scheduled in person per session; you can’t sign up or reserve a visit by phone.
- Pick your contact days with the weekly limit in mind - since classified individuals get two 60-minute contact visits per week, decide which two days (Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday) you want to use, and plan the rest of your week around that.
