How to Report a Concern About Duval Regional: Using the DJJ Central Communications Center (CCC) Hotline

The DJJ Central Communications Center (CCC) hotline number is 1-800-355-2280. Anyone can call to report an incident or make a complaint, as long as what you’re reporting fits the CCC rule’s criteria for a reportable incident (F.A.C. 63F-11.004).

The CCC accepts reports in specific categories. Your concern may be reportable if it involves: program disruption, escapes or absconds, medical incidents, mental health and substance abuse issues, complaints against staff, youth behavior, or Protective Action Response (PAR) related incidents.

Note: Anyone can call the CCC. Just know that what you report needs to fit the criteria for a reportable incident under F.A.C. 63F-11.004.

How to Report a Concern About Duval Regional: Using the DJJ Central Communications Center (CCC) Hotline
  1. Call the CCC hotline - Dial 1-800-355-2280.
  2. Share the incident details - Provide as much as you can, including the program name/code, who was involved, where and when it happened, whether a parent/guardian was notified, and any information about video, witnesses, internal investigation status, PAR restraint, and the staff-to-youth ratio.
  3. Document your call - Write down the date and time you called and the name/ID of the person who took the report (if provided).

The CCC is designed for incidents that meet the reportable criteria under F.A.C. 63F-11.004. Not sure if your situation qualifies? Call anyway and describe what happened as clearly as possible.

The CCC doesn't publish a specific follow-up timeline after reports. Keep your own notes about what you reported and when. If it makes sense for your situation, also reach out to the youth's Juvenile Probation Officer - don't rely on a single channel.
