How to Register and Schedule a Visit at Edinburgh Correctional Facility
Follow the sequence from ViaPath registration through supplemental documentation to choosing a visit time at Edinburgh Correctional Facility. You must be approved before you can schedule either an in-person or online visit.
Open the IDOC Edinburgh facility page at https://www.in.gov/idoc/facilities/adult/edinburgh-correctional-facility/ and choose Register Now to register for a ViaPath account. All family and friend visitors must register and receive approval before scheduling an in-person or online visit. You must also be on the incarcerated person’s approved visitors list; creating an account alone does not satisfy that requirement.
Supplemental documentation is the next phase in Edinburgh’s registration sequence. Failure to submit the additional documentation can delay your application or cause it to be rejected. The same IDOC facility page lists a Search Visitation Coordinators option under supplemental documentation.
Once you are registered and approved, you can move on to scheduling. Available dates and times are listed for the incarcerated person’s facility. Edinburgh’s visiting guidelines allow you to visit the same incarcerated person only once every 14 days.
All visitation requests use Eastern time. Use that time zone when choosing your visit time.
