How to Schedule a Video Visit with Your Attorney at Edna Mahan
Attorneys and other requesting agencies can schedule a videoconference with a client housed at Edna Mahan using the NJDOC Videoconference Request Form. Select Reason Code "25. Client/Attorney Interview" so the facility processes it as an attorney-client visit.
Prepare Form
- ✓ Inmate/client full name
- ✓ Inmate institutional identification number or SBI number (if you don’t have it, you can get the number and location from the NJDOC Inmate Locator Service at (609) 292-0328)
- ✓ Reason Code: 25. Client/Attorney Interview

- ✓ VTC coordinator contact reference (Edna Mahan): Kimberly Hawk (Kimberly.Hawk@doc.nj.gov, 908-735-3611)

Fax your completed request form to the facility's VTC coordinator. Submit it at least 48 hours in advance - that's 2 business days minimum, not counting weekends or holidays.
Videoconferences run Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (no weekends or holidays). The facility won't schedule a conference to run past 4:00 PM, so pick a start time that gives you enough room for the full meeting.
Tip: Schedule your conference to start no later than 3:00 PM so you're not rushed by the 4:00 PM cutoff.

On the day of your conference, the videoconferencing post officer will bring your client to the waiting area at least ten (10) minutes before the scheduled start time.
