Sending Photos to El Paso County Jail: Size Limits, Content Rules, and What Gets Rejected

Sending pictures sounds simple, but small rule breaks can get your photos rejected. Use the checklist below to stay within El Paso County Jail's photo size, quantity, and content limits.

You don't mail photos directly to the jail. All personal correspondence, including pictures, goes to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office third-party mail vendor at P.O. Box 16120, Jonesboro, AR 72401. On the envelope, include the inmate's full name and their Admit/Booking Number so the mail gets processed correctly.

Reminder: Include a legible, full return address with your first and last name. Do not send funds to the personal mail P.O. Box. Any funds sent there will not be processed.

Every photo must be 4×6 inches or smaller. Anything larger gets rejected, and staff won't trim or resize oversized prints for you.

There's a hard cap of 10 pictures per inmate. Collages are allowed, but each individual image inside a collage counts toward that 10-photo limit. One busy collage page can eat up your entire allotment fast.

For smoother processing, keep your mailing no larger than 8½ × 11 inches. Also avoid anything bound or that opens like a book. The vendor can't process bound materials, and anything like that will be rejected and returned to you.

Content Restrictions

  • No pornographic or lewd photographs or drawings
  • No nude photographs, including photographs of infants

Note: If the writing on your envelope or correspondence is illegible, it will be returned to you.

  1. Use an 8½ × 11 (or smaller) envelope - For best results, keep the overall mail piece no larger than 8½ × 11.
  2. Keep everything flat - Avoid bound items or anything that opens like a book, those materials cannot be processed and will be rejected and returned.
  • Address it to the third-party mail vendor at P.O. Box 16120, Jonesboro, AR 72401
  • Include the inmate’s full name and Admit/Booking Number
  • Write your full return address clearly, including your first and last name
  • Make sure all writing is legible, illegible mail will be returned to you
