How to Set Up Video Visits for Erie County Inmates (ICS / The Visitor)
Video visits in Erie County run through ICS/The Visitor. Once you're registered, you'll use the same system to schedule visits and check on onsite visitation status updates.
Before you can do a video visit, you need to register with ICS/The Visitor. Registration is required for all visitors, and it's free.
Your registration is what gives you access to scheduling. Erie County directs visitors to the ICS/The Visitor scheduling page, so you'll need your account set up before you can log in and book a session.
The Sheriff's Office points visitors to the ICS/The Visitor scheduling page for video visitation. That same page is also where you can check for updates on the status of onsite visitation at the Erie County Holding Center and the Erie County Correctional Facility.
- Go to the ICS/The Visitor scheduling page. This is the page Erie County uses for video visitation scheduling and for onsite visitation status updates.
- Select the Erie County facility you need. The page covers both the Erie County Holding Center and the Erie County Correctional Facility.
- Review the current status and any updates. Check here before you plan an onsite trip, since this is where the facility posts changes.
Offsite (remote) video visits aren't free. A 25-minute offsite visit costs $8.75.
Refund warning: Internet connectivity issues during offsite video visits will not be refunded. If your connection drops or your video freezes, you can still lose the full visit fee.

Connection Tips
- ✓ Test your internet connection ahead of time (offsite connectivity problems are not refundable).
- ✓ Fully charge your phone or tablet before the visit so your device does not die mid-call (you can still be charged if the visit fails).
- ✓ Pick a quiet, low-distraction spot so you are not scrambling to move around during the session.
- ✓ Check that your camera and microphone work before you start, since tech issues on your side can cut into paid time.
- ✓ Sign in a little early so you have time to sort out any connection problems before the visit window starts.
Reminder: If your offsite visit has internet connectivity problems, facility policy says it will not be refunded.
